About the Australian Age of Dinosaurs

The Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum is an exciting, high profile natural history museum at the forefront of Australia’s most significant dinosaur discoveries. A not-for-profit science and education-focused attraction, located in a beautiful wilderness setting in Central West Queensland, the museum houses the largest collection of Australian dinosaur fossils in the world and operates the most productive fossil preparation laboratory in the Southern Hemisphere.

Established in 2002, after the discovery of multiple fossils in the area, the museum includes a Fossil Preparation Laboratory, Reception Centre, and Dinosaur Canyon. They are also contracted by Winton Shire Council to manage Dinosaur Stampede National Monument, a Queensland's Park and Wildlife Service site and the largest trace fossil site in Australia.
